Engagement: Edwin + Amanda

It seems like forever ago that we booked this engagement shoot but the wedding is almost here. I had the privilege of shooting Edwin and Amanda’s engagement session last week. I say privilege because I work with both of them and consider them friends. I mean look at those faces! Do they not look like fun people that you’d like to be around? These are some of the best people you’ll ever meet and I can’t wait for the wedding this summer.

Mexico

For their Christmas present this year, my in laws decided to take their entire family to Mexico for a little sun and relaxation. Trips to Mexico may be normal for my wife’s side of the family, but it’s something I could only have dreamed of when I was growing up. In fact I’d never even been on a plane until I was 19. Thanks to my in laws generosity my kids will have some amazing memories and a chance to see other parts of the world.

We went to Puerto Vallarta for a week and it was awesome! Of course I took my camera, here are some highlights.

Sunny and warm every day.

With all the swimming and activity the kids were wiped at the end of each day.

We found a zoo about 20 min away from the resort. It was nothing like a zoo back home. As you can see they let people get up close and personal with the animals. Where else could you play with a baby Tiger?

Starting Over

After a long hiatus my little website is finally back up.

It’s a long story, but the short of it is I decided to switch hosting companies and in the process my blog backup file was corrupted which meant I had to start all over again. I decided to use this opportunity to redesign the look and feel of the site while reposting almost all of the content. Not everything is finished yet but it’s good enough for now.

One of the changes you’ll notice is some of the content. I’ve decided to post some of my personal work and thoughts on top of the professional stuff. When you’re spending money on photography I think it’s important you get to know the personality of the guy or gal behind the camera. You can find these posts under the “personal” link at the top of the page.

I hope you like what you see and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to talk photography.
